“I want to catch them all, just like Ash Ketchum.”Miridae was once a young impressionable giraffe girl from a distant planet called Gia. Her father, a space explorer, had managed to intercept old cartoons from a far off planet called Earth. Of those shows, one caught Miridae’s interest and set her life on a new and unexpected direction. That one show was Poke’mon. Starring in the star role was Ash Ketchum, and aspiring to learn and collect creatures, Miri started a deep dive into zoology and the study of creatures.Her thirst for knowledge did not stop at the pocket monsters from Pokemon, no she needed more. She consumed more and more media from Earth. Her addiction spread from cartoons, to the games and making sure to fill up her pokedex on the classic Gameboy games. Every time her father came back from an expedition, she had an addiction until the material was exhausted.Once she was hooked on video games, there was no turning back. She grew older and older, and her passion only became stronger and stronger. It wasn’t until she finished her schooling that her true calling landed in front of her. She followed in her father’s footsteps and went out on space expeditions.However, her goal was far darker than simply charting the galaxies. No, she sought to find creatures of all walks of life, fake, mythological, real, humans, whatever the case, she wanted to capture one or two of each. They would be held up in her own zoo, on her own planet, only the best of the best.But, before she could determine who exactly would make the best residents for company, she took a detour and set course for the planet that sparked her obsession—Earth.After learning everything from her home planet, she decided to take the internet to help introduce her to more humans, more games, more creatures, more of everything she loved.Now, it is only a matter of time before she is able to fulfill her dream, creating the most impressive zoology exhibit known to the galaxy.
